At the top of the date navigator, it shows bold number indicating days with one or more than one month contain events, appointments or meetings. To change to Calendar view & show all item after selecting a date, click on the any day of month.

Appointment section is under the Date Navigator, which shows next meetings and appointments mentioned in your calendar. If you are not using Task folder commonly and have particularly full calendar, then you can able to hide the Task list for upcoming appointments. Using To-Do-Bar menu, you can hide or display any of the three sections from the View tab.

Similar with the Navigation pane, minimize the To-Do-Bar list in a thin strip by using the arrow at the top, as it shows only the summary and next appointment of your Task list. If you want to see the full view of To-Do-Bar list, then click anywhere on minimized pane to pop out the list. After that when you click anywhere in Outlook window the list will hiding again.

For slightly better-quality control over what appears on the To-Do-Bar list within each section, from the To-Do-Bar menu click on Options which open a dialog box.

If you want to view appointment and meetings of particular start and end time, clear the “Show All Day Events” check box. Any changes you made in the To-Do-Bar list are immediately applied and are reflected in all view.

Using the Reading Pane

Reading pane is used to view an individual item by clicking on that item & preview it’s all contents without opening that item in its own window. It is more helpful to you in reading and replying for an e-mail message. There are many options to view this pane and customization you make (whether you want to hide the pane or show it & whether you position it at the bottom or on the right of the Contents pane) are saved for each view independently.
