Introduction
Outlook Journal provides you an opportunity to manage information like personal contacts, notes, etc. Journal entries are almost like anything else you record in Outlook. Sometimes you need to be changed those entries or you would like to delete those entries. Here in this article we discuss about How to manage and delete Journal Entry.
If you want to change a Journal Entry, then follow the steps given below:
1. Right click the Journal which you want to change and click the option “Open Journal Entry”.
2. The Journal Entry window will appear. Now, make changes to the item as you want.
3. Click Save and then close the Journal Entry window.
To "Delete a Journal Entries" permanently from the journal, this can be easily and simply done by deleting entry item. Choose from the following option, to delete the journal entry:
The date and time values that are placed in the journal entries may change. As you were going to make a phone call at 10:00 A.M. might have been moved to a new time like 4:00 P.M. and meeting dates and times are surely subject to change, along with most other journal items. As you cannot drag and drop items directly within the journal, but you can change the date and time easily for an entry, thus moving it on timeline.
1. Right click the entry you want to edit from the journal and click on the Open Journal Entry.
2. Change the time and start date, duration within the Journal Entry window.
3. Click the Save button to save all the changes you have been made to move the journal and then Close.
The entry item will be displayed on the timeline after updating completed.
Now, we will discuss how to "Attach Contacts to the Journal Entry". If you want to create a new entry or you can decide to attach a contact to a journal entry.
1. Double click on the entry for an existing entry in the journal. To create a new entry, click on Journal Entry in the Home tab New group. The Journal Entry window will open.
2. Click the Address book from the Journal Entry tab Names group. Then Select Contact window will show on the screen.
3. Click the Contacts folder under the Look In, if it is not previously selected. Then click the desired contact from the items field. If you want to choose more than one contact, so hold-down the CTRL though clicking on the many non-contiguous contact. While selecting the first and last contact from a series, hold down the SHIFT key and click on the contact.
4. Now, Click on OK. Then Save and Close.
